The Human Safety Net Opens Free Entry and New Exhibition in Venice

exhibition · 2026-04-26

The Human Safety Net, a global movement founded by Generali in 2017, has made its home at the Procuratie Vecchie in Piazza San Marco, Venice, free to enter with a voluntary donation starting May 8, coinciding with the Architecture Biennale. The permanent interactive exhibition 'A World of Potential,' designed by Studio Migliore+Servetto and curated by Orna Cohen of Dialogue Social Enterprise, has been updated with new installations like the multiscope of curiosity and the roulette of hope. The space also hosts 'Dreams in Transit,' a group show curated by the foundation Art for Action, running until March 15, 2026, featuring works by Ange Leccia, Leila Alaoui, Lorraine de Sagazan & Anouk Maugein, and Sarah Makharine. The exhibition explores the aftermath of migration—waiting, adaptation, and identity reconstruction—within the restored spaces by Sir David Chipperfield. Art for Action president Amandine Lepoutre stated the goal is to form a Constituent Assembly for a future Parliament of the Invisibles, uniting migrants, refugees, artists, and human rights defenders. The Human Safety Net operates in 26 countries with 85 NGO and social enterprise partners.
