The Hoxton Rome Opens May 10 with Art-Focused Interiors

architecture-design · 2026-04-27

On May 10, The Hoxton, a property of Ennismore, will unveil its inaugural Italian hotel in Rome. Situated in a historic area, the exterior of the building remains intact while the interiors have been revamped, drawing inspiration from 1970s Italian aesthetics. Curator Maurizio Faraoni worked alongside Sebastien Brocandel to choose artworks for different areas. The guest rooms display pieces by Nigel Peake, along with original posters from the 1970s and 1980s by artists such as Sol LeWitt and Cy Twombly, as well as photographic works by Michele Zaza. Public spaces feature large-scale paintings by Emilio Savinetti, collages by Andrea Nicodemo, and a distinctive ceramic collection by Monachesi. Additionally, the hotel will launch Cugino, a bar-cafeteria created in collaboration with Marigold, renowned for its Nordic-style coffee.
