The Flying Nun's 10th Season: Experimental Performance in Sydney

Brand X's Flying Nun performance program at the East Sydney Community and Arts Centre is marking its 10th season, named 'Supply and Demand'. This initiative supports artists with $2600 and a week in the venue to create experimental performance works, concluding with a two-night showcase where most ticket sales benefit the artists. Running from July to November, the season includes various art forms such as physical theatre, cabaret, drag, breaking, and clowning. The season commenced with Brazilian artist Keila Terencio de Paula's 'Feijão', a piece about her family's legacy, and continued with '8 Ways to Survive the Corporate Circus', featuring solo acts by Fale Tumanu and Unaloto Funaki. Upcoming shows include works by Will Bartolo, Essential Workers, Siobhan Gibbs, Brendan Maclean, Flowtality, and Harriet Gillies, with the season concluding on 7 November.
