The Drawer Publishes First Monograph on Lamarche-Ovize Duo
Éditions The Drawer has released 'Inventaire', the first monograph on artist duo Alexandre & Florentine Lamarche-Ovize. The book catalogues their recent hybrid works—ceramic and earthenware sculptures, watercolors, gouaches, drawings, collages, and installations—organized into three thematic chapters. It includes a multi-voice interview featuring Mathieu Mercier and Laurent Goumarre, plus a text by Annabela Tournon. Richly illustrated, 'Inventaire' examines the role of drawing in the duo's practice, from sketchbooks to exhibition spaces, from image to volume, and from paper to mural. Following recent shows in Valence and Brussels, Lamarche-Ovize will exhibit at Drawing Lab in Paris in 2019. Founded in 2011, The Drawer publishes the semiannual review 'The Drawer' as well as monographs and artist books. Forthcoming titles include 'Désordre' by Gil Lesage and 'Dur Mou' by Elvire Bonduelle.
