The Cedars Union Announces 18 Artists for 2026-2028 Incubator Cohort

The Cedars Union, a nonprofit arts incubator based in Dallas, has announced its selection of 18 artists from North Texas for the 2026-2028 Incubator Cohort VI. This 18-month residency, which has been a cornerstone of the organization since its inception in 2015, provides artists with private micro-studios in an open studio hall, along with tools, training, studio visits from curators, professional development workshops, and a communal kitchen. Public events, including exhibitions and open studios, will also be part of the program. Executive Director Emma Vernon emphasized that Cohort VI showcases the emerging talent and creativity in North Texas. The jury comprised Emily Budd, Thomas Feulmer, Christina Hahn, Ade Omotosho, and Ahava Silkey-Jones. The residency will commence on September 1 and conclude on February 29, 2028. The chosen artists are Paul Armstrong, Emma Camp, Tyler Germaine, William Gerst, Madeline Herrera, Laken Jefferson, Nitashia Johnson, Aidan Kearns, Aileen Khuu, Agnes Ma, Analise Minjarez, Nini Nguyen, Alicia Parham, Maxwell Pius, Marcus Rey, Elijah Ruhala, Sharmeen Uqaili, and Christina Vasquez.
