exhibition · 2026-05-05

From May 10 to 12, 2017, the A Plus A gallery in Venice will unveil The Breakfast Pavilion during the preview days of the Venice Art Biennale. Curated by Luca Lo Pinto (born 1981, Rome) and the creative team M-L-XL, consisting of Marco Campardo and Lorenzo Mason, this venue will serve as a café-gallery-store open from 12 to 19, aimed at promoting interaction among artists and designers. Featured international designers such as Nathalie Du Pasquier, George Sowden, Pierre Charpin, Fredrick Paulsen, Kristoffer Sundin, Martino Gamper, Jochen Holz, and Harry Thaler will present unique objects and prototypes. Each morning, an artist will host breakfast, including Anna Sophie Berger (born 1989, Vienna) and her mother Claudia serving wholemeal bread, and Nicole Wermers (born 1971, Emsdetten) preparing a dish linked to her book "Croissants & Architecture." Olaf Nicolai (born 1962, Halle) will also present a chocolate reinterpretation from his 2013 series inspired by Marcel Duchamp.
