The Beatles' 'Rubber Soul' Gets Expanded Reissue with AI-Assisted Remix

The Beatles' 1965 album 'Rubber Soul' will receive a new expanded reissue on October 2, continuing the band's ambitious remastering project that began in 2017. Overseen by Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell, the reissue features a new mix created using AI-assisted track separation technology, which isolates instruments and vocals without altering the original performances. The deluxe edition includes an 88-page book, the original 1965 mono mix, and dozens of unreleased recordings from the EMI Studios sessions in London. 'Rubber Soul' is considered a pivotal album in the Beatles' evolution, incorporating folk and Indian music influences, and is credited with inspiring The Beach Boys' 'Pet Sounds', which in turn influenced 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band'. The reissue is part of a series that has previously remastered 'Sgt. Pepper', 'The Beatles' (White Album), 'Abbey Road', 'Let It Be', 'Revolver', and compilations '1962–1966', '1967-1970', and 'Anthology'.
