The Art Chapter Returns to BASE Milano for Third Edition

The third edition of The Art Chapter, an art book fair curated by Studio Boîte, will take place from November 15 to 17, 2019, at BASE Milano. The fair explores the intersection of art and publishing, featuring 30 national and international exhibitors. A program of talks includes discussions on shared publishing, distribution channels, and creative education models. Highlights include the exhibition "Per que neau? – esercizi di stile," curated by students of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano with Pietro Corraini, Gianluca Camillini, and Valerio Burgio, paying homage to Raymond Queneau. BASE Milano, a contemporary creativity hub founded in 2016 in the former Ansaldo industrial complex, was renovated by the Municipality of Milan and Arci Milano, Avanzi, esterni, h+, Make a Cube³, with architectural design by Onsitestudio. The fair coincides with Book City Milano and Photo Vogue Festival. Project Manager Giulia Cugnasca emphasized BASE's role in fostering connections across art and culture, moving away from digital toward analog publishing practices like self-production, free press, and typography.
