Textile Design Takes Center Stage at Toulon's Hôtel des Arts

The Hôtel des Arts in Toulon presents 'Suivez le fil', a major exhibition exploring textile design from the avant-garde to contemporary practices. Running from June 27 to October 31, 2026, the show features over 100 works from the collections of the Centre Pompidou, Mobilier national, Cnap, and Musée des Arts Décoratifs. Curated by Marie-Ange Brayer, Lucile Montagne, Anna Izard, and Thomas Hochet, the exhibition traces the evolution of textile as a design medium, highlighting figures like Sonia Delaunay, Pierre Paulin, Simone Prouvé, Jeanne Vicerial, Chloé Bensahel, Dominique Perrault, Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost, Studio Bouroullec, and Hella Jongerius. A scenography by Emmylou Doutres and Clément Rosenberg uses textile itself to create chromatic and dimensional correspondences. The exhibition marks the sixth edition of a partnership between the Hôtel des Arts and the Mobilier national, aiming to diffuse national collections across France.
