TEss: Music, Art, and Fashion in Four Letters

TEss, the artistic alias of Tess Amodeo-Vickery, is a multidisciplinary artist who blends music, painting, photography, and fashion. Despite being a grandniece of Frank Sinatra, she chose not to use his surname for career advantage. In 2015, she launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to finance her musical project Soul Whisperer. Raised in the US between Manhattan and New Hampshire, she now lives in Rome, where she builds her creative universe. Her aesthetic draws from Gustav Klimt's symbolism and Liberty-style decorativism. TEss collaborates with various artists and designers: Peter Jensen, a Danish-born British fashion designer known for multicolor prints and a bunny logo, will dress her for a London photoshoot by Dante Fewster Holdsworth. With American designer Leopardessa, she shot a retro-rock themed series in Berlin. In Dortmund, German, Italian urban artist Alice Pasquini will create a large-scale portrait of her. In Turin, she worked with Mavì Taten (Vittoria Formuso), known for sun-bleached linen and cotton fabrics, in an unconventional gypsy session. Another photoshoot with Mavì Taten produced a video with the Funk Shui Project, evoking New York loft party atmospheres, featuring a remix of her Soul Whisperer opening track and covers of Kings of Convenience's "Declaration of Dependence" and Portishead's "Western Eyes."
