Territori: Design Dialogues at Cantiere Galli in Rome
On July 3, 2018, Cantiere Galli Design in Rome hosted Territori, the second edition of Osservatorio, a series spotlighting emerging creative talent. Curated by Domitilla Dardi, the event featured two Roman design studios: Studio Lunik and Manufatto. Studio Lunik, led by Federica Vezzana and Domenico Paparelli, presented objects inspired by Bangladeshi traditions, including the Kolshi water jug and checked textiles, reflecting the multicultural identity of their Torpignattara neighborhood. Manufatto, founded by Ilaria Aprile and Davide Gallina, showcased collaborations with local artisans from Tarquinia (ceramics), Nettuno (glass), and Anghiari (basketry), producing a borosilicate glass shaker and a black ceramic vase from the Tuscia region. The next Osservatorio event is scheduled for December 14, while Una stanza tutta per sé continues on November 21 with an installation by Matilde Cassani.
