Terre Intrecciate: Three Layers of the Sacred at Palazzo Carrozzini
'Terre Intrecciate', an initiative by Fitzpatrick Gallery and artist Jacopo Mazzetti, is currently showcased at Palazzo Carrozzini in Soleto, Salento. This exhibition consists of three distinct layers that delve into humanity's relationship with the transcendent. The first layer, titled 'The Suspended Village', highlights Romanian artist Alexandru Chira (1947–2011), blending his metaphysical vision with Tăușeni. The second layer, 'Herald of the Autochthonic Spirit', features artifacts spanning from the 1st century AD to the early 20th century, reflecting on themes of institutional authority. The final layer includes contemporary works by artists such as Guido Biasi and Odilon Redon, enriching the exploration of the otherworldly. Mazzetti notes that the exhibition reflects on transcendence and the interplay of past, present, and imagined futures.
