Terre Borromeo's summer tour of Lake Maggiore islands blends nature and art

Terre Borromeo, the brand managing cultural and natural sites historically linked to the Borromeo family, promotes a summer tour of Lake Maggiore islands in Piedmont and Lombardy, combining nature with art exhibitions. The circuit includes Isola Bella, Isola Madre, Parco Pallavicino, Parco del Mottarone, Rocca di Angera, and Castelli di Cannero. On Isola Bella, a major exhibition dedicated to Vitaliano VI runs until November 1, featuring portraits, sculptures, medals, and documents marking 400 years since his birth and the Year of Baroque Piemontese. The island's Vicolo del Fornello has renewed monobrand shops for design, jewelry, perfumes, and clothing. Isola Madre boasts exotic plants and renovated café and bookshop. At Rocca di Angera, the third edition of contemporary art show 'Fantastic Utopias' curated by Ilaria Bonacossa in collaboration with Galleria Continua runs until September 27, featuring 15 international artists including Antony Gormley, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Kiki Smith, and Ai Weiwei. Parco Pallavicino offers a natural oasis with 50 animal species, while Parco del Mottarone's Adventure Park opened last year with four difficulty levels for ages 3+. Castelli di Cannero are under restoration with public opening expected within three years.
