Terra Ceràmica Returns to l'Alcora with Expanded Performance Program

The second edition of Terra Ceràmica, an international ceramic performance cycle, will take place on May 15–16, 2026, at the Reial Fàbrica de l'Alcora, the Museum of Ceramics of l'Alcora, and ESCAL in l'Alcora, Castellón, Spain. Curated by local artist Ana Beltrán Porcar, the event brings together national and international artists exploring the intersection of ceramics, body, and action. Highlights include Noemí Iglesias Barrios's "He loves me, he loves me not," a critique of romantic love and emotional commodification using porcelain and mass-production methods; "Passagères Souterraines" by Christine Coste, Claire Bossé, and Violaine Joffart, a scenic proposal combining movement, voice, and clay; and "Dansa del Foc" by Ángel Igual and Antonio Pérez Requena, transforming the ceramic firing process into a public performative ritual. A pre-journey day features Liliana Díaz's "Arcano XVII" at ESCAL and "Intercambio de Remedios" with Cynthia Fusillo, reflecting on care and mutual support. The program expands this year with additional performances, supported by the city council, Caixa Rural de l'Alcora, the Provincial Council, the Museum of Ceramics of l'Alcora, and ESCAL.
