Teresa Gargiulo's Solo Show at Galleria Tiziana Di Caro Amid Pandemic

Galleria Tiziana Di Caro in Naples opens the year with Teresa Gargiulo's first solo exhibition, 'Come disegnare un’isola', running from February 2021. Gargiulo (b. 1996, Vico Equense) won the Naples leg of JaguArt, judged by Tiziana Di Caro, Ilaria Bonacossa, and Fabio Agovino. Her practice explores the tension between saying and existing through scriptural signs and emotional maps. The gallery postponed shows by foreign artists Shadi Harouni, Damir Ocko, and Oscar Santillan to after summer 2021, focusing on local artists Tomaso Binga (Rome), Teresa Gargiulo (Naples province), and Stanislao di Giugno (Rome). Di Caro emphasizes the importance of in-person viewing, stating she would stop working professionally if reduced to the web. She notes that supporting young artists is essential, not just during emergencies, and that Gargiulo's work aligns perfectly with the gallery's program.
