Tensta Konsthall retrospective examines LTTR journal's genderqueer feminist legacy
At Tensta Konsthall in Stockholm, the exhibition 'Here We LTTR: 2002–2008' showcases a retrospective of the genderqueer feminist publication LTTR, displaying all five issues on zigzag MDF shelves and within Plexiglas vitrines. The collective comprises Ginger Brooks Takahashi, K8 Hardy, Ulrike Müller, Emily Roysdon, and Lanka Tattersall, alongside contributions from over a hundred artists. Notable pieces include Zoe Leonard's text 'I want a dyke for president' and Liz Collins's knitted Merger Glove. Monitors feature videos by Itziar Okariz and Lynda Benglis. Curated by Sara Brolund de Carvalho, the exhibition also presents digitized journals and a lo-fi stereo playing 'Who Let the Dykes Out?' Emily Roysdon highlights the fusion of enjoyment and activism. Maria Lind directs Tensta Konsthall.
