TENDO 9.10DO to Paint Over TCHEKO's Work at Le MUR Oberkampf on August 8

French graffiti artist TENDO 9.10DO will take over the Le MUR Oberkampf billboard in Paris on Saturday, August 8, covering the previous work by TCHEKO. Born in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, TENDO 9.10DO has practiced graffiti in the city since 2005, treating it as a daily discipline that brings urgency and a piratical spirit to his studio creations, with a penchant for détournement. He describes graffiti as more than a medium—it is a culture and a structure of thought that taught him to read the city differently, spotting its dysfunctions, friction zones, and invisible potentialities. This approach has expanded to other mediums including painting, publishing, sculpture, and printmaking, as ways to prolong and fix initially ephemeral gestures. Until 2019, he worked within collectives that transformed urban space into experimental territory: with Road Dogs, they clandestinely crossed Europe aboard freight trains; with the collective 1984, they occupied forgotten corners of the city to open ephemeral museums until police sealed their entrances. These experiences fostered a practice based on adaptation, reactivity, and the ability to occupy off-frame spaces.
