Ten notable exhibitions across global venues from January to May 2016

The sixth edition of the Marrakech Biennale, titled 'Not New Now', is set to take place from 24 February to 8 May 2016, under the curation of Reem Fadda, featuring artworks at historic locations such as Palais el Badi. Notable artists include Sam Gilliam, Yto Barrada, and Farid Belkahia. Meanwhile, 'Making Africa – A Continent of Contemporary Design' is on display at Guggenheim Bilbao until 21 February, showcasing 120 artists, including David Adjaye and Cyrus Kabiru. In Los Angeles, Jakob Kolding's exhibition at TEAM runs from 31 January to 6 March, while Cally Spooner's film is featured at Stedelijk Museum from 16 January to 13 March. Other exhibitions include Terry Richardson at Galerie Perrotin (14 January - 20 February) and Mark Wallinger at Hauser & Wirth (26 February - 7 May) with 'Shadow Walker'. Laura Poitras's 'Astro Noise' is at Whitney Museum (5 February - 1 May), François Curlet's 'Frozen Feng Shui' at Air de Paris (15 January - 27 February), and Ian Cheng's work at Migros Museum (20 February - 16 May). Nairy Baghramian's pieces are exhibited at Museo Tamayo until 13 March.
