Ten Major International Art Exhibitions and Fairs Opening in September 2014
The ninth Taipei Biennial, curated by Nicolas Bourriaud and titled 'The Great Acceleration', opens on September 13, 2014, featuring 52 artists and collectives exploring the Anthropocene. Concurrently, the 10th Gwangju Biennale, 'Burning Down the House', curated by Jessica Morgan, runs from September 15, presenting over 100 artists from 35 countries, including Urs Fischer's 1:1 apartment replica. Museo Jumex in Mexico City shows Broomberg & Chanarin's 'Dodo' project through September 28, based on archival film material. Newcastle's Baltic hosts Marine Hugonnier's 'Apicula Enigma' through November 16 and Daniel Buren's exhibition through October 12. Art fairs include CHART in Copenhagen from August 29-31 and ABC: Art Berlin Contemporary from September 18-21. Cally Spooner's exhibition runs at GB Agency in Paris from September 13 to October 11.
