Tempo Tissues Limited Edition Boxes Celebrate Italian Heritage with FAI

cultural-heritage · 2026-04-26

Tempo, a tissue brand, has partnered with FAI (Fondo per l'Ambiente Italiano) to release a limited-edition series of tissue boxes featuring details from four Italian heritage sites. The packaging showcases decorative elements from Castello di Avio, Castello e Parco di Masino, Villa dei Vescovi, and Villa Necchi Campiglio. Castello di Avio, donated to FAI in 1977 by Emanuela di Castelbarco Pindemonte Rezzonico, features a detail of a lozenge fresco from the Guard House Antechamber. Villa dei Vescovi, donated in 2005 by Maria Teresa Olcese Valoti and Pierpaolo Olcese, includes a pastoral scene by Flemish painter Lambert Sutris. Villa Necchi Campiglio, designed by architect Piero Portaluppi in the 1930s, contributes a stuccoed ceiling with bull, ship, stork, and snake figures. Castello e Parco di Masino, purchased by FAI in 1988 from Luigi Valperga di Masino with donations from Giulia Maria Crespi, FIAT, Cassa di Risparmio di Torino, and Maglificio-calzificio torinese, features Italy's largest labyrinth, reconstructed from 18th-century documents. The Tempo boxes highlight the labyrinth's hornbeam hedges, celebrating Italian tradition of mazes inspired by Cretan classical art. FAI currently protects 72 properties including villas, castles, abbeys, and towers, supported by volunteers.
