Tempesta Gallery Merges Yoga and Art for Ana Hillar's Solo Show

On September 15, 2022, Tempesta Gallery in Milan hosted a special reopening event for Ana Hillar's solo exhibition 'Tummo,' combining yoga and meditation with art. The gallery, located at Foro Buonaparte between Teatro Piccolo Strehler and Stazione Cadorna, focuses on social issues like climate change and gender equality. The event featured a yoga and meditation class led by Shirin Afshar, followed by a toast with the artist. The exhibition, on view until October 7, is inspired by the Tibetan breathing technique 'tummo' (inner fire), which Hillar explores through ceramic works that contrast smooth exteriors with aggressive interiors. The gallery represents Hillar alongside Ane Graff, Alma Heikkila, and Diana Orving, with a focus on environmental and societal themes. Upcoming shows include Matteo Lucca's 'Terra di Preghiera' (October 20) and Diana Orving's first Italian solo exhibition (November 24). The gallery plans to participate in Italian art fairs and expand to European ones.
