exhibition · 2026-05-04

The exhibition 'Tell me a Story: Locality and Narrative' is currently on display at the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Turin. This group show, initially created in 2016 by the Rockbund Art Museum in Shanghai, is curated by Hsieh Feng-Rong and Amy Cheng. It showcases contemporary Asian artists born between the late 1960s and 1980s, who delve into personal narratives to reinterpret social contexts, tackling themes such as conflict, environmental issues, and traumatic experiences. The Turin version introduces three additional artists. Highlights include 'Fireworks (Archive)' by Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Koki Tanaka's 'Provisional Studies: Workshop #1', an installation by Haejun Jo and Kyeong Soo Lee, Tomoko Yoneda's exploration of postwar violence, and Lucy Davis's mechanical shadow theater.
