Tela Startup Digitalizes Italian Museum Ticketing with All-in-One SaaS Platform

Tela, a startup founded in August 2018 by HPA, has developed a SaaS platform for managing museum and cultural site ticketing. The software handles ticket sales (in-person and online via PagoPA for public administrations and Nexi for private entities), cash flow, visitor analytics, and reporting to Italian tax authorities (AdE) and SIAE. Co-founders include Vincenzo Paduano (CEO), Angelo Paduano (CTO), and Vincenzo Abbatantuoni (CFO). Angelo Paduano and Vincenzo Abbatantuoni were recently listed in Forbes' 30 Under 30. The platform is already active in 35 cultural venues across Lucca, Catania, Sondrio, Ancona, Avellino, Velletri, and Trevi, processing over 600,000 tickets and €2.5 million in transactions. Tela's mission is to digitize Italian cultural sites and create a national museum network. Future plans include integrating AI-based tools for visitor interaction and reaching 100 venues by year-end. The startup originated from a 2020 tender with the municipality of Lucca for a booking and ticketing platform, after which market research revealed a lack of digitalization in the Italian museum sector. The team also includes Andrea Citterio (Full Stack Developer) and Carola Gambino (Business Developer).
