Teiuq's Wabi Sabi: Animated Video by Martina Zena

Fabio Di Salvo, known for his work in the video-art duo Quiet ensemble, launches his solo project Teiuq with the album "Wabi Sabi," released in October. The album's single "Il treno per Evelyn" features a music video created by illustrator Martina Zena. The video employs found footage and cut'n'mix techniques from internet material, with each frame redrawn by hand using graphite, watercolors, wax pastels, and markers. It follows a group of Tibetan monks traveling through Indochina toward an unknown destination. The music incorporates samples from ethnomusicologist Laurent Jeanneau (Kink Gong) and synthesized sounds by Di Salvo. The video is synchronized to the album's rhythmic electronic tracks, blending folk songs from remote cultures.
