Teho Teardo's Carte Blanche at Palazzo Grassi Honors Damien Hirst
The third edition of Carte Blanche at Palazzo Grassi, a collaboration with music critic Enrico Bettinello, features composer and musician Teho Teardo. He presents two new works: Sea Change (April 21-23) and Phantasmagorica (April 22). Sea Change is a sound installation in the Teatrino's foyer, inspired by Damien Hirst's exhibition Treasures from the Wreck of the Unbelievable, using recordings from the Venetian lagoon and ambient sounds. Phantasmagorica is a live performance combining Teardo's music with black-and-white animations by street artist MP5, narrated by filmmaker Abel Ferrara. The event takes place at Palazzo Grassi and the Teatrino in Venice, part of the Pinault Collection.
