TEFAF New York 2026: 88 Galleries, Medici Tapestry Restoration
TEFAF New York returns to the Park Avenue Armory from May 15–19, 2026 (collector preview May 14), featuring 88 dealers from 15 countries across four continents. Highlights include Andy Warhol's 'Mao' (1973) at ML Fine Art, Cecily Brown's 'Functor Hideaway' (2008) at Berggruen Gallery, Ludovic Nkoth's 'System Black V' (2024) at Massimo De Carlo, and Minjung Kim's 'Story' (2026) at Voena. Design offerings include Lina Bo Bardi's tea cart (1950s) at Gomide & Co. and Finn Juhl's 'Chieftain Chair' (1949) at Modernity Stockholm. The TEFAF Museum Restoration Fund 2026 awards €25,000 to restore a 16th-century Medici tapestry owned by the Minneapolis Institute of Art, depicting 'The Meeting of Dante and Virgil' by Francesco Salviati (1546–1549). It is the first tapestry to receive this fund, supported by Bank of America. The tapestry will be unveiled on July 11, 2026.
