TEFAF Launches Online Platform Replacing New York Fair

digital · 2026-04-27

TEFAF has introduced TEFAF Online, a digital platform set to replace its New York fair originally planned for 2020. This online event is scheduled from November 1 to 4, 2020, with a preview on October 30-31, just prior to Artissima. Each participant is allowed to showcase a single artwork, which will undergo digital vetting by TEFAF's independent committee. The platform features images, text, and videos to emulate the gallery experience. Hidde van Seggelen, TEFAF Chairman, mentioned that this initiative seeks to enhance art accessibility in light of travel limitations and social distancing, aiming to be a lasting addition alongside future physical fairs. Bank of America will sponsor the event. Italian participants include Altomani & Sons, Riccardo Bacarelli, and others.
