Tecnomarine Shipyard Relaunches with Five Aluminum Superyachts
Massimiliano Zilioli, an entrepreneur, has brought back the Italian shipyard Tecnomarine, which had halted its operations around the year 2000. Founded in 1972 in Viareggio by Moreno Maestrelli and the Picchiotti family, the yard produced over 300 yachts renowned for their superior aluminum craftsmanship before being acquired by Azimut-Benetti in the early 2000s. Zilioli has now taken ownership of the Tecnomarine brand and restarted production at the Pisa facility on the Navicelli Canal, featuring 38,000 square feet indoors and 32,000 square feet outdoors. The new collection consists of five models—TM33, TM40, TM41, TM45, and TM90—ranging from 82 to 164 feet, all customizable and made of aluminum. The TM33, a 108-foot fast cruiser, and the TM40, a 131-foot long-range cruiser with mirrored glazing, were designed in collaboration with Michele Dragoni of Dragoni Designlab. Tecnomarine plans to unveil all models at the Monaco Yacht Show this September.
