TeamLab Transforms Pace Gallery Beijing into Interactive Digital Forest

exhibition · 2026-05-05

In Beijing's 798 Art District, TeamLab has reimagined 1,500 square meters of Bauhaus architecture for its inaugural major exhibition in China, titled "Living Digital Forest and Future Park." Peter Boris, Pace Gallery's vice president, described it as "the most ambitious and challenging exhibition by teamLab to date." Central to the exhibition is "Flower Forest: Lost, Immersed and Reborn," which utilizes real-time projections and interactive technology. Additionally, "Enso" presents a digital interpretation of the Japanese Zen calligraphy circle. Visitors can engage with the "Crystal Universe" through body movements and smartphones, while the "Future Park" section allows children's drawings to influence digital environments. The exhibition is open until November 19, 2017, at Pace Gallery, Beijing.
