Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize 2025 Winners Announced at National Portrait Gallery

Swedish photographer Martina Holmberg won the prestigious 2025 Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize for her piece titled Mel, which is part of her series The Outside of the Inside, focusing on people with facial differences. The second prize went to Luan Davide Gray from London for his striking black-and-white work We Dare to Hug, illustrating close male relationships from the series Call Me by Your Name. Byron Mohammad Hamzah took third place with Jaidi Playing, showcasing a stateless child in Sabah, Malaysia from his series Bunga dan Tembok. Hollie Fernando earned the Taylor Wessing Photographic Commission for her work Boss Morris, featuring an all-female Morris dancing troupe. The exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in London runs until 8 February 2026, displaying over 5,900 entries from 2,054 photographers across 51 countries.
