Tavares Strachan's first major midwest survey opens at Columbus Museum of Art
At The Pizzuti, the Columbus Museum of Art showcases "Tavares Strachan: The Day Tomorrow Began," marking the first significant museum exhibition for conceptual artist Tavares Strachan (b. 1979, Nassau, Bahamas). Running until January 3, 2027, this exhibition highlights nearly ten years of his diverse work, which includes sculpture, painting, neon text, and music. A key feature, the participatory installation Bar Room (2022/2025), serves as a fully functioning rum bar and café, set to remain at The Pizzuti permanently after the exhibition concludes.
