Tarek Atoui to Create 2026 Hyundai Commission for Tate Modern's Turbine Hall

Tarek Atoui is set to unveil the 11th Hyundai Commission at Tate Modern's Turbine Hall, which will be accessible from October 13 until April 11, 2027. This initiative, supported by Hyundai Motor Company since 2014, encourages artists to create works tailored to the site. Atoui, an artist from Beirut, designs unique instruments using organic materials, creating immersive experiences. Catherine Wood commended his innovative methods. In Amsterdam, Jo-Lene Ong will take on the role of curator at Buro Stedelijk starting March 1 for a three-year term, emphasizing anticolonial viewpoints. Additionally, the Seoul Museum of Art will launch the Seo-Seoul Museum of Art in March, featuring a solo exhibition by Heecheon Kim, while Cuturi Gallery will open a new Paris location with 'Decadence and Decay' running until May 16.
