Takashi Murakami to Illuminate Artefiera Bologna with 'Kirakirà' Exhibition

exhibition · 2026-05-05

Takashi Murakami will be the international star of Artefiera in Bologna. From January 25, Galleria Cavour—a luxury shopping gallery on Via Farini in the historic center—will host the exhibition 'Kirakirà: lo scintillante mondo di Takashi Murakami,' conceived by Contemporary Concept. The show celebrates the renovation of the gallery's spaces, including the reopening of the Sala Barocca della Meridiana and a new lighting installation by Viabizzuno and Mario Nanni. Forty works by the Japanese artist will be on display. Additionally, the Louis Vuitton boutique will exclusively feature unique pieces Murakami created for the brand in 2003, when he reinterpreted the LV monogram as 'Supeflat Monogram,' and the 2009 sequel 'Superflat First Love,' also present in Bologna.
