Takashi Murakami animates Billie Eilish's music video
Japanese artist Takashi Murakami (b. 1962) created an animated music video for Billie Eilish's single 'You should see me in a crown,' released ahead of her debut album 'When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?' (March 29, 2019). The video features a giant mutant spider alter ego of Eilish surrounded by Murakami's signature manga creatures. Eilish, born in 2001, is the first 2000s-born musician to top US charts. She previously collaborated with Murakami on a magazine cover and photoshoot for Garage Magazine. A limited-edition merchandise line including a vinyl toy of the singer was also launched. The video is described as a short animated film, not a typical music video.
