Taiwanese collective 2ENTER presents interactive digital installations in Tainan and Taipei

In Tainan, twin LED panels titled VERSE U – Between Wells and Windows (2024) transform Hai’an Road into a vibrant virtual environment. Created by Taiwanese new-media artist collective 2ENTER, this outdoor installation allows passersby to scan a QR code and design personalized avatars that become part of the simulated cityscape. Meanwhile, DATA-VERSE U # Calendar (2022) occupies Taipei’s House of Story Wear mall, featuring a microcomputer that displays a traditional Chinese tear-off calendar interface. This piece generates real-time images reflecting dates, weather conditions, and seasonal fruits. Both works explore how digital interfaces mediate our material surroundings. 2ENTER’s interactive installations question whether online traces evolve beyond simple data points. The collective’s playful approach invites public participation while examining contemporary digital mediation.
