The Taipei Fine Arts Museum is hosting Tang Jo-Hung's exhibition titled 'Old Man. Fairy. and a Bit of Everything' from 17 August to 10 November 2019. This showcase includes 41 paintings created over the last five years. His Fairy series, which garnered First Prize at the Taipei Arts Awards in 2016, was influenced by his consultations with mediums following his hearing loss. The artwork merges religious themes with personal symbols, featuring unique figures such as a barefoot Jesus in boots. Tang, drawing inspiration from Western modernism, presents works like 'White Old Guy. Star. Countless Mountains' (2019) and 'Set off. Go Down a Hill. The Elderly Piggybacks the Youth' (2019). The Old Man series addresses his midlife crisis, while 'Seek Divine Guidance' (2019) critiques the concept of magical remedies.
