Taipei Biennial 2023 Announces Full Artist Roster for 13th Edition
The Taipei Biennial 2023, themed "Small World," is set to take place from November 18, 2023, to March 24, 2024, at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum. Curators Freya Chou, Brian Kuan Wood, and Reem Shadid are exploring how smaller social networks have come into play after the pandemic, emphasizing both the potential for stronger connections and the risks of being disconnected from larger groups. Over 50 artists will present their work across different formats, such as sound, photography, video, painting, sculpture, and installations, including ten new commissions. Notable artists featured are Basel Abbas & Ruanne Abou Rahme, Huguette Caland, and Samia Halaby, among others.
