Taimeless Art Gallery Opens in Taormina's Historic Palazzo Ciampoli

A new contemporary art space, Taimeless Art Gallery, will open in Taormina on March 23, 2024, at Corso Umberto 220. Founded by Francesco Chinnici and Antonio D'Aveni with Real Estate & Investments Scimandra (represented by Stefano Sciacca), the gallery is housed in the historic Palazzo Ciampoli, a Gothic Catalan-style building constructed in 1412 and formerly owned by the Corvaja and Ciampoli families before being acquired by the Sicilian Region. The inaugural exhibition features works by painter Lorenzo Chinnici, Malaysian-French sculptor Michel Anthony, and Chinese artist Zhu Wei, known for environmental themes. The gala evening will include patron Antonio Presti, founder of Fiumara d'Arte. The gallery also showcases luxury accessories, including a €4 million jewel called Taimeless One by Francesco Berté, and designer Frank Gold will present Melanie, a sculpture made from Martian stone previously exhibited at the Crossroads of Civilizations Museum (CCM) in Dubai. The gallery's mission, articulated by Valentina Muzi, is to present works across all media—painting, drawing, sculpture, installation—and to cultivate connections between emerging and established artists, emphasizing time as the ultimate luxury.
