Tagli Artist Residency on Stromboli: Fourth Edition and Creative Process
Tagli is a non-profit artist residency on Stromboli in the Aeolian archipelago, founded in 2021 by Ilaria and Alvise Baia Curioni as a response to the isolation felt during the Covid-19 pandemic. Every summer, from July to August, they host artists, musicians, and performers for two to three weeks through an open call, providing them with living and working spaces in two houses. The fourth edition is set for summer 2024 and will feature nine artists, including Eugenia Fera and Matteo Pavesi, who will delve into music, visual arts, and performance. The residency wraps up with an Open House to display their works in progress, leading to previous exhibitions in Milan and London. The founders emphasize the island’s unique volcanic nature as a key inspiration for creativity.
