TAG Heuer and Team Ikuzawa Release Racing-Inspired Carrera Chronograph

TAG Heuer and Team Ikuzawa have collaborated on a new Carrera Chronograph, with Bamford Watch Department contributing to the design. The watch draws inspiration from the Roadmaster stopwatch in Team Ikuzawa's archives, featuring a 39 mm Carrera Glassbox case—smaller than the previous 44 mm model. The timepiece has a steel case, a Clou de Paris textured dial in red and white (Team Ikuzawa's colors), with lacquered hands and printed indexes. It is powered by the TH20-10 movement without a running seconds hand, a nod to 1960s-70s TAG Heuer chronographs that left dial space for sponsors. Team Ikuzawa's signature is at 6 o'clock, and the caseback shows the watch's individual number and engravings of Team Ikuzawa and Bamford Watch Department. Three strap options are available: a steel bracelet, a white leather strap with red stitching, and a red-and-white textile strap. The watch comes in a toolbox resembling those in pit garages, along with a travel pouch and charms. Team Ikuzawa was founded in 1981 by racer Tetsu Ikuzawa, who won the 1964 Japan Grand Prix and was the first Japanese driver at Le Mans in 1967. Now led by his daughter Mai Ikuzawa, the brand blends motorsport, design, and fashion. The watch is limited to 150 numbered pieces at $10,500.
