Tadeusz Kantor and Maria Jarema at Venice Biennale 2026
The Starak Family Foundation will host an exhibition titled "Emballage, Cricotage and Madame Jarema" at the 61st Venice Biennale. Scheduled from May 9 to November 22, 2026, the show will be curated by Ania Muszyńska and marks the Foundation's fifth presentation of Polish art in Venice. This exhibition focuses on the artistic dialogue between Tadeusz Kantor, a prominent figure who lived from 1915 to 1990, and Maria Jarema, a Biennale award winner in 1958. Attendees can expect to see works by Kantor from the late 1950s to early 1960s and a projection of his influential piece, "The Dead Class" from 1975.
