Tabari Artspace Presents 'The Power of Intention' in Milan

Tabari Artspace, a Dubai-based gallery that has championed MENA artists for over two decades, presents 'The Power of Intention,' a multidisciplinary exhibition in Milan curated by Bebe Leone. The show is hosted at Villa Cramer in the Brera district and will later travel to La Serena Hotel in Forte dei Marmi, where the gallery runs a residency program in collaboration with the hotel. The exhibition features works by resident and visiting artists from the La Serena residency, including Nasser Almulhim, Maitha Abdalla, Alymamah Rashed, Chafa Gaddar, Bechir Boussandel, Malik Thomas, and Samo Shalaby. The concept of the talisman—objects imbued with purpose to protect, empower, and guide—lies at the core of the exhibition. The works, created during 2024, a year marked by global flux, collectively meditate on navigating uncertainty with optimism. Almulhim's rhythmic paintings explore geometric and organic forms; Abdalla uses anamorphic characters in theatrical spaces; Rashed's surreal canvases examine spirituality and nature; Gaddar's frescoes embrace fragility; Boussandel's luminous canvases evoke boundless spaces; Thomas blends desire and spirituality in depictions of the male figure; and Shalaby traverses antiquity, surrealism, and grotesque aesthetics. The exhibition aims to strengthen connections between participating artists and Milan's cosmopolitan art ecosystem, fostering deeper engagement with the global artistic community.
