T-shirt.it Launches with 10 Illustrators' Serigraph Prints
A new online store, T-shirt.it, has debuted in Riva del Garda, merging 1990s nostalgia with normcore aesthetics. The launch event featured live performances and an exhibition of artworks that will be transformed into prints. This initiative seeks to showcase Italian illustration and typographic art through basic apparel. Created by GRAFFITI, a communication studio marking its 20th year, and Illustri, known as "the home of Italian illustration," which hosted the first biennial of this graphic art in Vicenza last winter, the platform employs serigraphy to maintain the integrity of artists' strokes. Ten illustrators, including Ale Giorgini and Mauro Gatti, contribute to the catalog, which features diverse styles. Riccardo Guasco remarked that a t-shirt surpasses a street poster, as it moves with the wearer, becoming a second face.
