Sylvie Fleury Collaborates with La Bouche Rouge on Feminist Lipsticks at Karma International
Sylvie Fleury's exhibition, titled 'LA Bougainvillea,' is showcasing at Karma International in Los Angeles from March 20 until May 5, 2018. This solo show explores themes of feminism and consumer culture, featuring a partnership with the Paris-based lipstick line La Bouche Rouge, which has created four shades inspired by the bougainvillea plant. Attendees can also find a purple motorcycle titled 'Gloria's Triumph (Kawasaki 100, 1973)' and sweatshirts printed with a quote from Gloria Steinem. Fleury's work includes soft Rocket sculptures and a neon piece saying 'Exfoliate,' all challenging contemporary beauty ideals. The exhibition concludes on May 5.
