Sydney Contemporary 2025 is set to be its most extensive edition to date, taking place from September 11 to 14 at Carriageworks, featuring 114 exhibitors and over 500 artists. A new sector, Photo Sydney, will join established sections such as Galleries, Future, and Works on Paper. Curated initiatives will include Installation Contemporary and Performance Contemporary, showcasing performances by Christian Thompson and a kinetic sculpture by Lisa Reihana. Meanwhile, Taipei Dangdai has canceled its 2026 edition and will reassess its strategy following a decline in exhibitors from 90 at its launch to 54 during its sixth edition in May, leading to the departure of co-director Robin Peckham. Frieze Seoul will return from September 3 to 6 at COEX in Gangnam, featuring citywide programs. On July 2, Olivia Chow was named director of curatorial programs at the Chinese Canadian Museum in Vancouver. Based in Hong Kong, she previously curated Trevor Yeung's presentation at the Venice Biennale and worked at M+ and Para Site.
