Swing Design Gallery Opens Swing Unique Window Exhibition Space in Rome

Swing Design Gallery, a Benevento-based gallery founded by Angela da Silva in 2011 specializing in contemporary collectible design, has expanded to Rome with a new window exhibition format called Swing Unique. Located at Via della Penna 59, the space functions as a small curated display that changes monthly, featuring solo shows by different designers. The works are visible from the street 24/7, with a QR code and contact information for potential buyers. The inaugural exhibition, "Volcanos," features Franco-Russian designer and artist Alissa Volchkova, who works between Paris and London. Volchkova's series of vases explores industrial production methods, preserving and exaggerating the "defect" of excess glass typically removed in glassblowing. The format launched in July 2022 without an opening event, which is planned for September. Swing Design Gallery's mission is to promote emerging international designers, exploring boundaries between craftsmanship and technology, art and design, commissioning unique and limited-edition pieces.
