Sweet Lust: Michèle Lamy Curates Body-Focused Group Show at White Cube Paris
At White Cube Paris, Michèle Lamy, a co-founder of Owenscorp and a versatile artist, curator, and performer, has curated 'Sweet Lust,' a group exhibition that delves into the poetic and sensual aspects of the human body. This exhibition showcases the works of 25 artists from around the globe, including notable names such as Louise Bourgeois, Tracey Emin, and Bruce Nauman. Co-curated with Mathieu Paris, the gallery's director, the display features art from the 1920s to today, exploring themes like carnal desire and gender identity. Lamy drew inspiration from a Mapplethorpe exhibition curated by Arthur Jafa at Barbara Gladstone Gallery in New York. The exhibition runs until April 30, 2022, at 10 avenue Matignon.
