Swatch x MoMA: Special Edition Watches Inspired by Van Gogh, Klimt, Mondrian
In a partnership with the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, Swatch has unveiled a set of six limited-edition watches that reinterpret iconic artworks such as Vincent van Gogh's "The Starry Night" (1889) and Gustav Klimt's "Hope II" (1907-1908). The design of the collector's box set draws inspiration from the Blade Stair, created by Diller Scofidio + Renfro. Starting March 4, 2021, these watches will be available at Swatch outlets, on the Swatch website, and in MoMA Design Stores. CEO Carlo Giordanetti emphasized Swatch's longstanding relationship with MoMA, which includes three Swatch watches in its collection and four exhibitions featuring the brand. Robin Sayetta remarked on the collaboration's seamless integration into everyday life.
