SWAB Barcelona 2026: Eclipse as Curatorial Concept for 19th Edition
The 19th edition of SWAB Barcelona, the International Independent Art Fair, is set to take place from October 8 to 11 at the Palacio Victoria Eugenia. This year’s theme, centered around the eclipse, encourages a fresh look at the significance of art through an ecological lens. An innovative OFF-SITE program will showcase art in less central locations. Notable galleries participating include Alkovi from Finland, Ethereal Maison from the UK, and Suvatne & Erakovic from Norway/Switzerland. The POLAR AND TROPIC section will highlight connections between Nordic and Southeast Asian art, featuring ALL ALL ALL (Denmark) and GOR (Indonesia). Additionally, VORTEX, curated by Lena Solà, will present Spanish and Latin American galleries, while the General Program includes 200CENT + Fundació Uniques (Barcelona) and others, with MYFAF showcasing Ulstrup (Denmark) and Twilight Contemporary (UK).
