Sustaining Assembly: Ecological Art at PAV Turin

The exhibition titled 'Sustaining Assembly. Pratiche artistiche per una transizione ecologica dal basso' took place at PAV in Turin, under the curation of Marco Scotini and Piero Gilardi, focusing on artistic approaches to ecological transition. It includes the work of Raphaël Grisey and Bouba Touré, who explore permaculture, alongside Somankidi Coura, a cooperative established in Senegal in 1977. Through filmmaking and workshops, the project links the experiences of migrants with cooperative histories. The Free Home University Collective, headed by Alessandra Pomarico, promotes communal knowledge beyond traditional institutions. Additionally, Fernando García Dory's INLAND – Campo Adentro involves rural communities in land rights advocacy. The Karrabing Film Collective showcases 'The Mermaids, or Aiden in Wonderland', while Maria Theresa Alves advocates for agroforestry in Brazil, and Yasmin Smith's installation 'Terra dei Fuochi' addresses environmental toxicity. This exhibition occurred in 2021.
